RECEIVER INPUT POWER

The diagram shows the input power of targets having different Radar Cross Sections at the TTR receiver input in the Short and Long Pulse Mode. I marked the T1 MDS-setup values (red/yellow spots). Please notice that the MDS was adjusted  to 128/70 km for a 1 or 10 sqm target in LP and 41/73 km for a 1 or 10 sqm target in SP. These setup points are in question and I will discuss the matter  on the T1 pages. However, the difference between two corresponding lines and spots are rather small. Remember the difference between two lines is 10dB.
The results between the T1-MDS settings and the diagram are very close. It could be possible that the designer of the T1 used the same formula to determine the MDS values of the Nike radars in the fifties. Please see the differences between the formula "Receiver RF Input Power" and the state-of-the-art formula  "Detection Range".
