LOPAR: RECEIVER INPUT POWER

The diagram shows the input power of targets having different Radar Cross Sections at the LOPAR receiver input. I marked the T1 MDS-setup values (red spots). Please notice that the MDS was adjusted  to 48 km for a 0.1 sqm target and to 79 km for a 1 sqm target. These set-up points are in question and I will discuss the matter  on the T1 pages. However, the difference between two corresponding lines and spots are rather small. Remember the difference between two index lines are 10dB. The results between the T1-MDS settings and the diagram are very close. It could be possible that the designer of the T1 used the same formula to determine the MDS values of the Nike radars in the fifties.
