In the above diagram you can see that the jamming power is not sufficient high enough for the HIPAR and in the TTR in the LP mode. However, we have to consider that we need a S/N of 11.5 dB for a probability of detection of 80% and at least 20 dB S/N to track the target in the AUTO mode.

Stand-Off-Jamming is a hard business. You must have enough jamming power and a high jammer antenna gain to be effective. Further more you need to stay within the main antenna beam if your jamming power is low. Otherwise your jamming is useless and a waste. However, combining mutual- and self-screening jamming could lead to a very effective type of ECM.
